HIP Educational Outreach
HIP provides learning opportunities for students at all levels, and is based upon historical content. HIP is driven by a comprehensive, educational program created by a group of educators, led by Dr. Scott Siegfried from the Cherry Creek School District in Denver. The materials focus on the Center’s Core Values of Honor, Integrity, and Patriotism and are intended to develop character and leadership attributes among participants. Apple iPads allow students to learn more about each of the Congressional Medal of Honor Recipients on display, including their citation, story brief, video vignette, and other information. The students’ results are compiled and provided to teachers for future learning opportunities when they return to the classroom.
The program is offered through school field trips and privately scheduled group visits.
